The Meningococcal B vaccine (Bexsero) is now part of the funded childhood immunisation programme and if your child is under 5years old they may be eligible for this FREE vaccine.
Fever and discomfort in children under 2years are more common after the Bexsero vaccine. Because of this it is recommended to give paracetamol before the vaccination.
