Michael studied physiotherapy at AUT and then went onto Auckland University to study medicine.

After study he worked at Waikato hospital and then moved into general practice. He has had a variety of experiences culminating in the ability to move to Rotorua to be closer to family.

Outside of work, family and sports play an important part in maintaining a decent work life balance.
