Tara Spence

Enrolled Nurse

Kia Ora, Ko Tara ahau.

Ko Tongariro te maunga
Ko Taupō-nui-a-tai te moana
Ko Ngati Tūwharetoa te iwi
Ko Torumankina te hapū
Ko Waihi te marae
Kei Tokoroa au e noho ana
He Nēhi Whakauru ahau

I am māmā of many, wife, and involuntary community baker – I accidentally got an unpaid job baking for anyone who realised I make the best fudge and Rewāna bread!

I am a Nēhi Whakauru, passionate about Māori and Pasifika Hauora, whole heartedly committed to growing and thriving in Mataurangā Māori nursing and care for our whānau.

I have the privilege of being a Ngā Manu Kura clinical leadership for Māori nurses and midwives graduate and goodSAM emergency responder in my community of Tokoroa.

When I’m not at mahi you’ll find me at our SURF rugby club cheering on my son, our netball club with my daughter or on our local Marae facilitating safe sleep at our wahakura hapu māmā wānanga. I have a love for health education, prevention and supporting our māmā, pāpā and whanau to make the best decisions for pepī.

I am excited to be part of the Ranolf whānau and to care for the Rotorua community and whānau.
